Ziyad Masoud is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and is the Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the German Jordanian University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech, the USA in 2000. He published over 50 articles on vibration control systems. He formulated several innovative control strategies, including Waveform Command Shaping, Frequency-Modulation Input-Shaping, and a patented Delayed Feedback Control System for Commercial Cranes. His current research interests include nontraditional vibration control strategies for multi-mode systems.
