BiographyDr. Mohamed Al-Rawahi has Over 19 years of experience in the management of all aspects of research projects. His academic background includes a B.sc & M.sc in soils, water and agricultural engineering & PhD in agro-ecosystem. His Master thesis was about “Studying growth and development of different crops grown with produced water in a Reed Bed System”, while his PhD thesis was about “Matter Fluxes in the Mountain Oases of Oman”. He worked for the Ministry of Agriculture for more than 12 years and worked as a senior environmental specialist for more than 3 years with BAUER Nimr LCC, which specializes in wastewater treatment using constructed wetlands. Since May 2015, Dr Mohamed Al-Rawahi is working as a wastewater treatment researcher with The Research Council of Oman (TRC). He is responsible for management of various research projects. He also works as a project team leader within the collaborative project between The Research Council of Oman and Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (UFZ – Germany) in the area of decentralized wastewater management (DWWM). in addition, he works as Water Cluster Lead in Ejaad, which is a national initiative to boost the collaboration between Industry, Academia & Government organizations in the pursuit of Oman’s knowledge-based economy through efficient R&D partnership. Recently, he has been assigned to manage the Water Research Strategic Program.
