Synopsis

Future Personal Health Testing using Printed Electronics and IoTs

There is an emerging trend in the personal healthcare market to use home testing devices to monitor and manage one’s health conditions at his or her own convenience and privacy. Achieving this goal requires availing to the market smart testing devices that are easy to use, fast, cost effective, disposable, yet intelligent, and connected on-line for quick advice by expert systems and/or human medical professionals. Current systems using conventional testing platforms and electronic systems had only succeeded marginally due to their technologically primitive nature. Printed Electronics and the Internet of Things (IoT) are paving the way to introduce the next generation of intelligent and smart home testing devices to help people regardless of their location and technical background to play a more active role in their health and wellbeing.”
